A History of England for the Young
A children's history of England written by Henry Tyrrell, a teacher of elocution, and issued in London by the London Printing & Publishing Co. in 1872, with captions in English and Welsh. The plates are hand-coloured chromolithographs: bust portraits of kings in crowns and ermine set inside green or gold laurel wreaths, plus narrative scenes of arrests and processions before castle walls, useful for wreath frames, regalia details and flat costume colour.
