A Hero of a Hundred Fights. [A novel
A late Victorian novel by the Scottish writer Henrietta Keddie, writing as Sarah Tytler, issued in London by Ward, Lock & Co. in 1890 for the commercial circulating-library readership. The plates held here are not scenes but printer's ornaments: wood-engraved headpieces and tailpieces built from C-scrolls, acanthus, vine leaves and a crowned urn, drawn in fine line on blank cream page, ready to lift as chapter dividers, crests or frame corners.
