An illustrated gift edition of Edward FitzGerald's Rubáiyát of Omar Khayyám, designed and lettered throughout by Willy Pogány and published in London in 1913 for the Edwardian illustrated-book trade. Every page is hand-lettered in green and blue script, framed by interlacing vine and arabesque borders with pendant lamps, crescents and roundels, offering designers ready-made calligraphic layouts, ornamental frames and small decorative spot motifs.
