Arthur's Victory
A short moral tale for children issued by the Sunday School Union in London in 1873, written by A. E. Ward for Sunday school readers and prize-giving. The plates here are small wood-engraved plant vignettes used as chapter tailpieces — symmetrical buttercup sprays, and clustered rose, thistle, shamrock and holly around a central rosette — usable as spot ornaments, dividers or repeat motifs at small sizes.
