An 1858 London anthology of 244 engraved furniture and ornament designs, reissued by the bookseller John Weale from mid-18th-century plates by Chippendale, Inigo Jones, Thomas Johnson, Matthias Lock and Pether, for cabinetmakers, carvers and architects to copy. The plates are fine outline engravings of rococo mirror and pier-glass frames, girandoles and console brackets, many split down the centre to show two alternatives, with C-scrolls, pierced foliage, candle branches, birds and chinoiserie figures usable as borders, corner pieces and frames.
