Mathematische und physikalische Geographie nebst Chronologie, bearbeitet von Dr. Wiegand, Dr. Cornelius und Dr. von Schmöger
A German school and university textbook of mathematical and physical geography with chronology, compiled by Wiegand, Cornelius and von Schmöger and published in 1857 for students of astronomy, surveying and calendar reckoning. The plates are small line diagrams set into the text columns: circles crossed by lettered axes, ellipses and orbital paths, zodiac signs marking solstice points, and fans of dotted rays arching over a hatched water surface, useful as geometric marks, arc-and-angle motifs and technical lettering.
