Worsborough; its historical associations and rural attractions
A local history of Worsborough, near Barnsley in South Yorkshire, written by Joseph Wilkinson and published in 1879 for local subscribers and antiquarian readers. The plates are tinted lithographs of houses, halls and churches set in gardens and trees, each captioned in spaced capitals below the image, with soft stipple foliage, plain ashlar facades and small figures for scale that can be lifted as architectural vignettes or borrowed for lettering and framing.
