Bleaching, dyeing, and calico-printing : With formulae
A technical manual on bleaching, dyeing and calico-printing with working formulae, written by John Gardner and issued in Philadelphia by P. Blakiston, Son & Co. in 1884 for dyers, printers and textile works chemists. The figures are line engravings of mill apparatus: rollers and doctor blades over dye troughs, a pulley and sunken cloth-weighting drum, gas-fired stills with coiled condensers, and a symmetrical cross-section of a printing machine frame lettered throughout, useful as diagram stock, machine silhouettes and hatched water and brick textures.
