Inside Out Library

Blue and red light: or, Light and its rays as medicine; showing that light is the original and sole source of life, as it is the source of all the physical and vital forces in nature; and that light is nature's own and only remedy for disease ... together with a chapter on light in the vegetable kingdom

Pancoast, S. (Seth), 1823-1889 · 1877 · Philadelphia, J. M. Stoddart & co · 14 pictures

An 1877 Philadelphia treatise by Seth Pancoast arguing that sunlight and colored glass cure disease, published by J. M. Stoddart for physicians and lay readers drawn to occult and Kabbalistic medicine. The plates are line drawings printed in blue on tan stock: clock-faced dials numbered twice around, arrows circling inside lens shapes and interlocking rings, and Hebrew letters of the Tetragrammaton stacked in a circle with bracketed numerals; useful as diagrammatic ornament, arrow motifs, and esoteric lettering.
