Exhibition catalogue for a touring display of Swedish painting and sculpture shown at the Brooklyn Institute of Arts and Sciences in 1916, with an introduction by critic Christian Brinton, issued for American museum visitors and collectors. The plates are coarse-screen halftones of paintings: winter fields and snow-streaked hillsides, blossoming orchards beside farm buildings, birch and pine woods, and seated figures in caps and shawls, useful as soft grey-toned landscape grounds and period portrait studies.
