Exhibition of paintings, drawings and sculpture. [electronic resource] : Tuesday, March 23d to Saturday, April 24th, 1915
An exhibition catalogue issued by Montross Gallery in New York for a show of American paintings, drawings and sculpture held from March 23 to April 24, 1915, printed for gallery visitors and buyers. The 35 halftone plates reproduce early modernist work in grainy black and white: faceted cubist figures, angular line scaffolding over smudged tone, and a churning seascape of dragged brushstrokes, useful as ready-made abstract textures, cropped geometric fragments and coarse-screen grays.
