Bobbins of Belgium; a book of Belgian lace, lace-workers, lace-schools and lace-villages
A 1920 account of Belgian lace-making, its schools, villages and workers, written by Charlotte Kellogg for the Brussels Lace Committee and published in New York and London by Funk & Wagnalls for an American relief-minded readership. Halftone plates photograph lace against dark and plain grounds, showing floral sprays, scalloped corners and bands of edging, alongside line diagrams of plaited thread grids and bobbin technique.
