Bookbinding and its auxiliary branches
A trade manual on bookbinding and related shop work written by John J. Pleger and issued in Chicago in 1914 by The Inland Printer Company for binders, printers and apprentices learning the craft. The plates are shaded line engravings of individual machines — ruling machines, sewing and folding equipment, cutters — shown in side or three-quarter view on blank grounds, offering isolated silhouettes of frames, belts, gear wheels and rollers that cut out cleanly.
