[Book of designs
A manuscript book of embroidery and ornament designs drawn by Mrs Watson in 1824, unpublished and kept as a working pattern collection, now in the Clark Art Institute Library. The drawings are pen outlines and solid ink silhouettes on tinted paper: scalloped borders, berry sprays, leafy vines and repeating flower heads, useful as line motifs, repeat strips and corner fills.
