A book of programs
A kindergarten teacher's program manual by Jane Lincoln Hoxie, issued in New York by E. Steiger & Company in 1911 for kindergartners, mothers and nurses, with publisher's catalogue pages for Froebel gifts and occupation materials bound in. The plates are small line engravings of boxed kindergarten supplies—wooden beads, paper straws, perforated disks, folding papers—set among dense two-column advertising text and alphabetical stock lists, useful for period trade-catalogue typography, ruled tabular layouts and cutaway views of packed goods.
