The book of Saint Ultan : a collection of pictures and poems
A charity anthology of poems and pictures issued in Dublin in 1920 by the Candle Press to raise funds for Saint Ultan's Hospital for Infants, with contributions from Irish artists and writers. The plates are pen and brush drawings in solid black and white: bare-tree landscape friezes, rooftop silhouettes against streaked cloud, a stylised rose in a thorn-and-bird border, and mothers with children indoors.
