The plates mix fine-line topographical views — caravans on cliff roads, tiled monastery roofs seen from above, distant city panoramas across plains — with early maps, Chinese inscriptions and portrait medallions, giving designers hatched landscape texture, compact architectural clusters and reproducible script and cartographic ornament.
