The book of Ser Marco Polo : the Venetian concerning the kingdoms and marvels of the East
Henry Yule's annotated English translation of Marco Polo's travels, revised by Henri Cordier and issued in two volumes by John Murray in London in 1903 for scholars of Asian geography and medieval travel. Plates mix wood-engraved landscapes and Chinese garden houses with redrawn Chinese city plans, walled-fort diagrams and facsimile inscriptions, offering line-drawn cartographic ornament and crowd-filled architectural scenes.
