The book of talismans, amulets and zodiacal gems
A survey of talismans, amulets and zodiacal gems compiled by William Thomas and Kate Pavitt, published in Philadelphia by D. McKay in 1915 for occult readers and collectors. Numbered plates group small charms in tonal line-and-stipple drawing: swastikas, scarabs, seals, crosses, snakes, hands, cornucopias and pendants, isolated on plain grounds and ready to lift as single symbol motifs.
