A 1695 Latin academic discourse on old and new coinage by Johann Stephan Floriantschitsch de Grienfeld, printed at Ljubljana by the heirs of Mayr for scholars and numismatists. The plates here are letterpress decoration rather than subject illustration: coarse woodcut initials with foliage and flower baskets, a tailpiece of a footed vase of blooms, and rows of cast fleuron ornament that can be reused as borders, drop caps, and section dividers.
