Bourges, et les abbayes et châteaux du Berry
A 1912 volume in the French "Villes d'art célèbres" series from H. Laurens, written by Georges Hardy and Alfred Gandilhon for travellers and students of medieval and Renaissance architecture in Bourges and the Berry. The plates are halftone photographs of cathedral facades, stair towers, carved doorways, dormers and tiled roofs, often shot at an angle and set into letterpress pages, giving usable stone ornament, tracery and roofline silhouettes.
