Breakfasts and teas ; novel suggestions for social occasions
A hostess manual of menus, table schemes and party games for breakfasts and teas, written by Paul Pierce and issued in Chicago by Brewer, Barse & Co. in 1907 for American middle-class households. The single plate held here is the Library of Congress ownership stamp: a wood-engraved eagle with olive branch above a heavy circular band lettered LIBRARY OF CONGRESS around the date 1800, useful as a seal, badge or roundel device.
