Brügge und Ypern
Henri Hymans's volume on Bruges and Ypres, published in German by E. A. Seemann in Leipzig and Berlin in 1900 as part of a series on famous art centres, written for travellers and students of Flemish art and architecture. Halftone photographs and line plates record stepped and crow-stepped brick gables, traceried windows, church porches, cobbled streets and canal frontages, giving flat grey-toned facade elevations and architectural ornament usable as silhouettes or pattern details.
