British heraldry
Cyril Davenport's British heraldry, published in New York by E. P. Dutton in 1921, is an introductory handbook of British armorial practice for students, collectors and antiquaries. The plates pair line diagrams of shield divisions, ordinaries and hatched tinctures with engraved crests, coronets, mantling and badge devices, giving designers a ready stock of blank escutcheon outlines, hatching patterns and ornamental frames.
