British military prints
A collector's survey of British military prints by Ralph Nevill and W. G. Menzies, issued in London by The Connoisseur Publishing Company in 1909 for print collectors and students of army dress. The plates reproduce uniform portraits and regimental groups in sepia, red-brown and grey monochrome: single standing officers in shakos, bearskins and frogged coats, mounted figures against sketchy landscape, and Highlanders in kilts with bagpipes, giving designers full-length figure silhouettes, headdress and braid detail, and plain pale backgrounds easy to cut out.
