Broaches and broaching
A 1918 McGraw-Hill technical manual by Ethan Viall on broaches and broaching, written for American machinists, toolmakers and shop engineers. The plates are line engineering drawings: splined shaft ends and keyed hubs in section, cross-hatched cutting teeth, and dimension chains marked in thousandths of an inch, useful for hatching patterns, arrow-and-tick annotation, and mechanical profile silhouettes.
