Brushwork : elementary brush-forms
A drawing manual by Marion Hudson, published in London by O. Newmann in 1903 to teach elementary brush strokes to schoolchildren and art students. Each plate sets single loaded-brush marks — leaves, petals, buds, berries — in rows on a red grid, then builds them into sprigs and symmetrical rosettes in flat blue, green, brown and red washes.
