Buddhistische plastik in Japan bis in den beginn des 8. jahrhunderts n. Chr
A German-language art-historical survey of Buddhist sculpture in Japan up to the early eighth century, written by Karl With and published in Vienna by A. Schroll in 1919 for scholars and museum readers. The plates are studio photographs of standing bronze and wood figures against plain grounds, showing crowned bodhisattvas, pierced flame mandorlas, lotus pedestals, beaded necklaces and long pleated drapery that can be traced as silhouettes or ornament patterns.
