A builder's estimating manual and price book compiled by Frederick T. Hodgson and issued by the Industrial Publication Company in New York in 1882 for carpenters, contractors and building tradesmen. The plates are trade-catalogue wood engravings — hand planes and squares rendered in fine parallel hatching — set beside ornamental bordered advertisement panels and heavy display lettering useful for tool silhouettes and frame motifs.
