Building & engineering news
A weekly trade journal issued in San Francisco by L. A. Larson for the Contractors' and Dealers' Association of California, covering architecture, construction and engineering for builders, suppliers and architects in 1914. The plates are dominated by the engraved masthead — hand-lettered script and slab display type set in a scalloped panel against a hatched skyline of factories, smokestacks, water towers and steel frames — alongside building views and structural diagrams useful for lettering models, industrial silhouettes and period trade-paper layout.
