Building and ornamental stones of Australia
A government survey of Australian building and ornamental stones, compiled by Richard Thomas Baker of the Sydney Technological Museum and printed by the government printer in 1915 for architects, builders, and the quarrying trade. Halftone plates show polished slabs of marble, granite and sandstone with their veining and speckle, quarry faces and rock outcrops, and completed stone buildings and monuments, giving designers ready-made mineral textures and mottled grounds.
