A French mathematical and astronomical review issued by the Ministère de l'éducation nationale and printed in Paris by Gauthier-Villars from 1870, addressed to academic mathematicians and observatory staff. The pictures here are not diagrams but the binding's marbled papers: grey Spanish-wave grounds ridged with diagonal stripes, overlaid by dark blue vein networks flecked with red and yellow, usable as tiling textures, cover stock, or pattern fills.
