A trade pattern book of furniture designs issued by E. Steiger in New York in 1871 for cabinetmakers and upholsterers working to order. The 343 engraved plates show beds, sideboards, tables and chairs in elevation and detail, with shaded scrollwork, turned legs, carved crestings and panelled fronts that can be lifted as isolated ornament or line-drawn furniture silhouettes.
