A. Hepplewhite and Co.'s pattern book of household furniture designs, first issued in London in 1788 for cabinetmakers and their clients, reprinted by B. T. Batsford in 1897. The plates are line-engraved elevations and sections of chairs, tables, mirrors, and case pieces, drawn with fine parallel hatching and carrying husk swags, paterae, urns, fluting, and reeded legs that can be lifted as borders, ornament units, or silhouettes.
