The cabinet-maker and upholsterer's drawing-book
A trade manual by Thomas Sheraton, published in London by Bensley in 1802, teaching cabinet-makers and upholsterers the geometry, perspective and ornament needed to draw furniture. The plates are fine line engravings: projection and vanishing-point constructions, ruled grids, sectioned boxes and arched frames, plans of rooms with measured scales, all thin black line on cream paper, usable as diagram stock.
