Cahiers d'arabesques : propres à la décoration des appartements
A portfolio of engraved arabesque panels by Etienne de Lavallée-Poussin and Laurent Guyot, first issued in late eighteenth-century France as pattern sheets for painters and decorators of interiors, reprinted by B. Hessling in Berlin in 1920. The plates show narrow vertical panels built from swagged garlands, urns, tripods, cameo medallions, sphinxes, masks and winged figures, drawn in fine line suitable for borders, frames and repeating vertical ornament.
