A 1774 London record calendar, edited by Sir Joseph Ayloffe with Philip Morant and printed by B. White, listing medieval charters and the Welsh and Scottish rolls kept in the Tower of London for antiquaries and archivists. Line engravings after B. T. Pouncy show royal great seals in obverse and reverse pairs: enthroned kings with orb and sword, armoured riders, and circular Latin lettering usable as roundels, monograms, or stamp devices.
