An engraved writing-master's copybook by Bartolommeo Ponzilacqua, cut by Pasquali and issued in Venice in 1819, teaching German current, Kanzlei and Fraktur hands to schoolchildren in the Austrian-governed Venetian provinces. The plates set out ruled rows of capitals and minuscules in copperplate script, large display headings, and loops and swelled-stroke flourishes that can be lifted as rules, monograms, tailpieces or lettering models.
