Camera ed inscrizioni sepulcrali de' liberti, servi, ed ufficiali della casa di Augusto scoperte nella via Appia, ed illustrate con le annotazioni
An antiquarian report by Francesco Bianchini, published in Rome in 1727, on the columbarium of the freedmen and servants of Augustus's household found on the Via Appia, with engraved plates by Girolamo Rossi and Antonio Buonamici for scholars of Latin inscriptions. The plates combine measured ground plans and sectional diagrams with etched views of broken brick vaults, niche walls and rubble masonry rendered in fine parallel hatching, giving designers ruin fragments, archaeological plan geometry and inscribed tablet layouts.
