Caricature; wit and humor of a nation in picture, song and story
A 1911 anthology of American magazine humor issued by the Leslie-Judge Company of New York, gathering cartoons, comic verse and sketches from Judge and Leslie's Weekly for a general reading public. The drawings are pen-and-ink gag cartoons with captions: crowded parlors and offices, oversized hats, drunks, waiters and shop clerks, drawn in loose hatching and heavy black silhouette.
