Carotinoids and related pigments; the chromolipoids
A 1922 chemistry monograph by Leroy Sheldon Palmer on carotinoids and related fat-soluble pigments, issued in New York by the Chemical Catalog Company for biochemists and food and dairy researchers. The plates are halftone photomicrographs framed in circles, showing needle- and blade-shaped pigment crystals in dense black strokes across pale grounds, usable as ready-made abstract line tangles, circular vignettes, and high-contrast textures.
