[Catalog]
A trade catalogue of clothing issued by George W. Carnes of Boston in 1850, printed for customers buying ready-made coats, trousers and boys' suits. Wood engravings signed T. & A. show boys and young men standing in pairs or alone, wearing checked trousers, frock coats, caps and top hats, with a park fountain and hoop as background props; useful for period menswear silhouettes, small figure vignettes and letterpress type sitting behind the cuts.
