Catalog of the Gardiner Greene Hubbard collection of engravings, presented to the Library of Congress by Mrs. Gardiner Greene Hubbard
A printed catalogue of the Gardiner Greene Hubbard collection of engravings, compiled by Arthur Jeffrey Parsons and issued by the Library of Congress in Washington in 1905 for curators, collectors, and print dealers. The plates are halftone reproductions of old master etchings and engravings: wooded landscapes with small figures under heavy foliage, stairway and archway genre scenes, files of cloaked figures, and pale views of long building facades, offering etched line texture, massed tree silhouettes, and figure groups in worn low-contrast tone.
