A bibliography of Cambridge printing from 1521 to 1893, compiled by booksellers Robert Bowes and Francis Jenkinson and issued by Macmillan & Bowes in Cambridge in 1894 for collectors, librarians and printing historians. Its plates reproduce woodcut ornament lifted from the books catalogued: strapwork headpieces with grotesque masks, foliate initial letters in white-on-black, tailpiece cartouches and putti flanking printers' devices, all usable as period ornament and display letters.
