Catalogue of the Cortland Desk Co., Lim. : manufacturers of the celebrated "economy" wall desk and the "favorite" combination desk.
A trade catalogue issued in 1890 by the Cortland Desk Co. of Cortland, New York, printed locally by the Cortland Democrat Print to sell its "Economy" wall desk and "Favorite" combination desk to furniture dealers and households. The wood engravings show each desk open at three-quarter view, with drop lids, pigeonhole banks, spindled galleries, turned finials and incised floral panels rendered in fine hatching, giving designers ready-made Eastlake furniture silhouettes and cabinet interior diagrams.
