A scholarly catalogue of early German and Flemish woodcuts compiled by Campbell Dodgson for the British Museum's Department of Prints and Drawings and published by the Trustees in London in 1903, for curators, collectors and print students. Plates reproduce late-Gothic and Renaissance blocks: biblical and legendary scenes, crowned figures, crowds in period dress, vaulted architecture, and foliate borders with grotesques, all in hard black line and dense hatching.
