A catalogue of English coins in the British museum. The Norman kings
A British Museum departmental catalogue of Norman-period English coins, compiled by George Cyril Brooke under Sir George Hill and printed for the Trustees in London in 1916 for numismatists and curators. The plates are photographic pairs of silver pennies, showing crowned profile and facing busts, sceptres, and reverse crosses ringed by moneyer and mint lettering — usable as circular emblems, worn letterforms, and cross motifs.
