An exhibition catalogue issued by the Berlin Photographic Company's New York gallery in 1913, with notes by Martin Birnbaum, listing etchings, drypoints and lithographs by Hungarian, Bohemian and Austrian printmakers for American collectors and gallery visitors. The plates are halftone reproductions of prints in heavy blacks and smudged greys: standing portraits of bearded men in hats and overcoats, artists bent over drawing boards, figures thrown against lit walls as shadows, useful for studio-interior staging, silhouette contrast and sketchy line-portrait heads.
