An exhibition catalogue issued by the Department of Fine Arts at Carnegie Institute, Pittsburgh, in 1917, for visitors to a loan show of early English portraits and landscapes from the collection of John H. McFadden. The plates are grey halftones of porcelain and ceramic pieces photographed against plain grounds: baluster vases with applied vine and grape handles, urns painted with pastoral scenes of figures under trees, and a crowded modelled group of draped figures and children.
