Catalogue of an exhibition of works by John Leech : (1817-1864) held at the Grolier club from January 22 until March 8, 1914
Exhibition catalogue issued by the Grolier Club in New York in 1914, recording a showing of drawings, prints and cut-paper work by the English Punch caricaturist John Leech (1817-1864), compiled for the club's collector members. Plates reproduce pencil hunting and horse studies, crowded sheets of hand-coloured comic figure sketches, and a symmetrical black silhouette rosette of galloping horses, riders and trees usable as vignettes, spot figures or a radial ornament.
